Classes

The beauty of Pilates is that it works for everybody. Suitable for all ages and abilities, Pilates benefits both your physical and mental well-being.  We pride our group classes on being small, with a maximum of 3 people for our studio classes and a maximum of 4 people for our reformer fitness classes.  We also provide duet and private sessions.

Studio Classes

Classes are one hour long and utilise a combination of the Pilates machines, which includes reformers, towers, wunda chairs, ladder barrel, spine corrector and smaller apparatus to provide you a systematically choreographed, full body workout.  This class allows for different exercises to be modified in their range of difficulty from beginner to advanced and are changed for each individual so as to facilitate the needs of each person’s body.  Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions itself and adapts to the exercises.  The repertoire of exercises that can be performed on the equipment is endless, meaning that you will never become bored with your program.

Studio Pilates is a great option for:

  • General overall body conditioning

  • Specific high performance training needs

  • Anyone looking to perfect their technique with individual attention to get the most out of their group classes

  • Pregnancy and Post Natal clients

  • Seniors

  • Fibromyalgia and other neurological conditions

  • Scoliosis

  • Osteoporosis or Osteopenia

  • Management of spinal pathologies after the acute stage has passed

  • Management of sports and work related injuries

  • Rehabilitation for tennis elbow, golfers elbow and frozen shoulder

  • Many other special conditions

This class is suitable for most individuals following an initial consultation.

Reformer Fitness Classes - Next Course Starting 17th July, 7pm
Reformer fitness classes are a group based class where all clients perform the same exercise at the same time.  With a maximum of 4 clients per session,  our reformer fitness classes are a 50 minute challenging workout, choreographed by your instructor to keep moving in sync through the repertoire at a challenging pace, but still with the precision of the Pilates flow.

This class is NOT suitable for injured, pregnant or people in pain.  Instead we recommend you book in for an initial consultation.

All new clients must attend a 6 week foundation level reformer fitness course, before moving onto other levels.

Reformers are Pilates machines that use springs and pulleys to provide variable resistance to assist or challenge the body. The variable resistance makes it unique and is why it’s suitable for every level of ability.  The benefits of Reformer Pilates include:

  • Long, lean overall body muscle tone

  • Improved flexibility and postural correction

  • Gain strength from your core including pelvic floor focus

  • Increase balance, coordination and body awareness
